Coach Kristen Warner

As iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another...

(Proverbs 27:17) One of the best things about being a coach is not just the reward of seeing my athletes cross the finish line for the first time or the hundredth time, but about seeing each one grow in every journey they take to get to that finish line. I am a firm believer that anyone can succeed at a goal on their own if they put their mind to it, but it is a lot easier and you grow even more when you have someone help you get there.

My clients and friends rely on me because I not only use my knowledge and expertise in the field of endurance sports and fitness to help them accomplish their goals, but I find ways to keep them motivated, to get them through the tough times, and to help them see that they can achieve even more than they ever thought possible. It's not only about the physical side, but also the mental aspect that gets you through mile after mile and day after day.

I am a continual student of endurance sports, strength and fitness, psychology, nutrition, business, and many other topics that I feel play a role in being successful at helping people achieve their goals. I have been swimming for over 30 years and played water polo at Purdue University. I graduated from there with a Bachelors of Science in Business in 2002. I've been a USA Triathlon Level I Coach since 2006 and I specialize in swimming. Since 2008, I have been the swim pro for The Country Place's sports camp and since 2010, I have coached Prestonwood Christian Academy's swim team. In the summer of 2012, I enrolled at Texas Woman's University to obtain my Masters in Kinesiology with the projection to achieve my Doctorate in Kinesiology by June of 2016.

I continue to race in the sport of triathlon, adventure racing, swimming, mountain biking, running, and anything else someone challenges me to. I strive to never stop learning or taking steps into the unknown so I can pass my knowledge and experiences on to others. I love what I do and the great people that I come into contact with. It's that passion that allows me to help people set goals, teach them to sharpen what they already have inside, and achieve things they thought were out of this world.

"Always continue the climb. It is possible for you to do whatever you choose, if you first get to know who you are and are willing to work with a power that is greater than ourselves to do it."

My Message To You
